i think i just developed this same problem the only thing thats got me worried is the steering feels like it has a mind of its own.. i had it aligned last year after hitting a curb and tie rods were replaced. the steering has a small shake to it. but i do hear this clicking/squealing when the wheels are perfectly straight and you turn it slowly back and forth..

Mine is similar. It just clicks once in the same spot, not constantly. But I have to turn it back and forth to hear it normally. What you can do is grab on to the shaft under the hood, and have someone turn the wheel back and forth. I dont have to move my wheel that much to get it to click, so I did it with the engine off. You will feel the play in the shaft if thats the problem.

If there is squealing though, sounds like power steering almost .....

This is the part number you want:
55351234AC

You want 2 new flange bolts with the following size:
M10x1.50x39.00

And this is the cheapest that I found it so far:

Eimer did his and said its pretty quick if you have the right extentions and everything to use an impact. Its 2 bolts, and there really isnt a way to screw anything up. Ill spray mine with some penetrating lube about a day early, and go to work on it. I shouldnt have to remove anything more than the wheel on the driver side.

I def have more then one problem. Steering shakes at higher speeds and when breaking at higher speeds. Also some sort of clunk from passenger side. Dam these rough winters and pot holes

I thought I found my clunk when I removed the sway bar, but it was only half of it. I either have a bad ball joint or tie rod. The tie rod doesnt move when I grab a hold of it, but neither does the ball joint. I hear a popping though every time I take off though, so Im guessing ball joint first. Im swapping out both ball joints and putting new bushings on the sway bar. If that doesnt work, Ill be swapping the tie rod ends sometime this summer. And I still have to get a new steering shaft, but thats on hold until I can get the ball joints ordered.

Oh, youre not the only one. The front ends are crap and just need to be fixed with new parts. I had 86k on my front end before I replaced anything, and it was time then. Now I have 117k and I just replaced struts, and that made a worlds difference.
