I bought my bolts at the hardware store, the dealership will carry them also, the bolts can be longer, they will not contact anything. Ace hardware is where I found mine

Im bringing this one back to the top. The click in my steering wheel has become more apparent so I am swapping it out this weekend. I was originally going to order it offlline for $164, but Im not to sure about the place where its coming from. The cheapest I have found it from reputable online sources is about $182. Im buying it locally from the dealer for $218 because I want to do it when the parents are out of town this weekend so no time for shipping.

I got new bolts from the hardware store; they are 1mm longer than stock. Im not sure if they will work or not because the threads dont go all the way to the heads, but Im sure it will be fine.

Good news though. I can access both bolts from up top; no need to get on the old back or cut out my wheel well. You need to have the wheels off the ground so you can turn the wheel to gain access to both bolts. I was able to get in there with my 13mm socket and 1/2" drive snap on ratchet no problem, and I was able to turn both bolts. I gave them some penetrating lube and tightened them back up. Should be an easy swap. If I could use the impact, it would probably go really quick but I dont think I can wedge it in there. Ill keep you guys posted.

Yup, the lower intermediate shaft. If you pop the hood and look right below the brake booster, its the black shaft that sits on an angle.

Practically. Not much more to do after this. I need a new serpentine belt because mine makes a little noise, but if Im going to d that, I probably should just do an e-fan

And lets not forget, a Hiptek throttle body and bigger injectors!

Those bolts will work just fine, they do not need to be threaded the entire way.
