how bad is it?
The only code I got was a high idle when whatever it was got caught in the throttle blade. I have cleared the code. It has not come back. The idle has settled.....the sound has gone away. Still a little vibration under heavy acceleration but the power is back....
Kent, just do me one favor; DONT TAKE IT TO THE DEALER PLEASE! Some kid that is probably hungover will be doing the work, and he wouldnt know what to do when sober. I say find a reputable engine shop.
The piston might have flattened it out enough to get clearance and seal. Like Bobby said, call around and find a shop that will do it reasonable. I break these engines apart all the time man, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
I use this and it hasn't failed me yet.

Most important part of pulling a head on a OHC motor is the timing chains. Make sure to check your timing marks. That is what happened to hendrixx.
i am confident but i also know my limits, this is better left to people who know what they are doing...my issue is finding someone reputable.
Search option is down so I bumped it for you. Good luck brother.
