Default Front Brake Pad Replacement

Well, I finally needed to replace the front pads (108K). I decided to go with the Wagner Thermoquiet Ceramics. Out of the box, everything is wonderful. But I will be able to give a better review once the pads seat into the freshly turned rotors. I'm sure they will be seated with in a few days of driving.

As I can tell so far, they seem great. Has anyone else replaced their pads with the Thermoquiets?

I'm about due for pads and there are so many choices I'm not sure what to get. I dont want el-cheapo and I dont want to spend hundreds...are the wagners like middle of the road? I hear ceramics eat rotors...

I've sold very many sets of brake pads over the years. Wagner thermoquiets are by far the best available pads. If wagners are too much money O'reilly offers the brakebest select. They are O.E. friction material and are manufactured by federal mogul in the U.S.A just like the thermoquiets.

Ceramic pads don't eat rotors either. They are a softer material that run cooler, squeak less and don't dust as much because they aren't metalic.

As with most things the quality if work is just as important as the materials used

108k on the stock brakes? And that was with basic minor towing too? Why'd you go with turning the rotors as compared to going new (besides cost)? Nice!

Well...I'm considering keeping the costs down because I'm half tempted to get a new truck. I KNOW. I SAID IT. The dak might be going to another owner...ugh (brakes my heart). The consideration for the new truck will be a 2012 Power Wagon.

Quick question. What is the name of that bar with all lights you have on it. I might want that instead of my grill guard.
