A bad day
Well, I had the truck on a dirt road, and it turned into a skidder log road and it got stuck... Its still sitting in the woods no tow truck company would come out. Im hoping I can convince one in the morning since the path isnt bad until where its stuck. Its fine upto 20-40ft behind the truck.
Il hopefully have some pics tomorrow, im pissed. I managed to get it moved back 30-40 ft but no farther, Accident drove into it :/

Hey man if you lived closer (lol) i would be out in a heart beat. Ive have been there myself and have helped buddies in the same predicament. I hope you have no trouble getting out. At least you didnt hydrolock your engine like i did with water over the hood :X
Pretty sure I destroyed my nice rear tires...and probably not to good on the tranny either rocking it.
Its mud, not a lake lol I didnt expect it to be so deep, since the other 99% of the road isnt bad at all.

i did thew same thing. Mud all around went into the "hole" which wasd 5 ft deep and viola., screwed. If i went the senzable way around, i wouldnt know how to drain water out of my motor. Imamgine if you jad 4X4?

That could essentially be the same price as a tow AND you get a nifty mod out of it!
With the prices of all these Chinese winches that have flooded the market recently - there is NO reason not to have a winch if you drive off the pavement at all.
Hell, you don't even need to spend big money on a mount. You can spend as little as $39 at Harbor Freight for a receiver mount (cradle) and winch it out from the rear (or spend $100 more for a front receiver hitch). Keep the winch in the garage until you know you are going out "wheeling" and then either slide it on the rear receiver or just set it in the bed of the truck just in case you need it.
Pretty damn good "insurance policy" considering the complete setup would be well under $400...
My truck has one mounted up front full-time on a pretty pricey stainless steel grill/brush guard, but I have a 8000# winch for my Grand Cherokee (daily driver) that lives in the back until I decide to "play" with the Jeep. I just slide it on the front and go. The winch is a "hand me down" Warn M8000 off my truck (upgraded to a larger one), a $125 front receiver hitch and a $80 cradle.
