It all depends on how much time you have. A hemi swap will be a lot of work.. never mind the cutting and welding, it's the wiring that will stop you dead in your tracks. a pre-08 HO should just drop right in and PCM flash or tune with SCT and bingo, all done. not sure about 08 and newer.

But I agree, if I were to do a swap, i'd do a hemi too. very much worth the extra work.

sonnax is a transmission line pressure booster. lot of us run it. Ity is a plug and play device that plugs into the transmission. Gives firmer shifts at wot. You hardly notice it during normal driving in my experience.

even with this and my superchips trans tuning package and almost zero torque management, I'm still not happy with the shifting so Ima goinna have to get a shift kit I guess.

Mod scheduled in ~200,000 miles...

EDIT: Bugger, I read this wrong, I thought you were saying a swap from an HO to a Hemi would be easy...

for the cost, (@$50), the sonnax is ok, but if you can find a shift kit that is fairly cheap that works to firm up the shifts regardless of thottle position, go for it. I see some of those "transgo" kits are as cheap as $140, but it says dissassembly of the transmission is required to install, dont know what that means, drop the pan and filter and replace the valve body? remove the transmission? If there was something out there that could be done fromm underneath the truck I would get it (depending on price).

for the Sharadon all you have to do is drop the pan, remove both filters and remove the VB which is held in by like 6 screws i think. there is a DIY on dodge talk i think. google it you should find it no problem.
