Lockrite
The lockrite is a "lunch box" type lock that is easy to put in. But as was mentioned the street manners of auto lockers and lincoln (welded) lockers can be unpredictable, particularly the lincoln since it doesn't give at all. The lockrite will and I would try that. Its a one man installation and is simple and strong and most of all much less expensie than the manual lockers. I don't know how it compares to the auburn price though. Best of luck.

I also thought the trucks had a stock LSD in them because I have No! problems with braking both tires lose! Matter of fact I can easily do donuts in 2nd gear on dry pavement and brake them lose by shifting from 1st to 2nd at 30 miles an hour on dry pavement. My truck is stock expect for the exhaust.

don't make us autos jealous.
Some of the trucks came with LSDs, they work just fine. Blown has videos of his 100 footers he made with stock LSD and automatic trans

the stock lsd's from chrysler arent that great. google: 9.25 diff c clip....and you will find hundereds of posts of people who have had their rear diffs explode. my stock lsd only behaves as an lsd when going straight, during a corner or snow, it acts as an open diff.
prime example here. 1 wheel peel with lsd.

Not only do the "C-Clips" fail at some point EVERY TIME, but even when working properly they have a very low bias ratio (meaning they will fail to hold lock when a certain amount of torque is applied to them) but they often need "help" just to engage. I found when I had the stocker I needed to apply either a little brake with the gas or slightly apply the e-brake to get it to engage. With the Auburn - it just works right...

C clip doesn't last for sure, and most stock LSDs won't lock when you try donuts, my S10 never would, but I had forward propulsion. My open diff would come to a stop until the inside wheel had traction again. That's also very terrible to do with stock LSDs, it's trying to lock and is slipping like mad and will give out easily.
By the way, I LOVE my new auburn. I can really feel the tightness of it just making regular speed turns. But it never hops, and still turns decently in snow under low power without losing traction. Kicks the tail out just when I want it to when I try and always launches with full traction or both loose depending on how mean I am to it. Funnest upgrade yet.

That said, I DO like being able to throw it into 4WD on the fly. Hills still suck in snow with ANY 2WD, especially from a stop, posi or open.
