Default OH NOOES, "9ASCAP" error message!

As you read it, I got a nice little error this morning while on my way to work. No CEL, just a ding and the little message. I am pretty sure I fixed the issue I have a locking gas cap that has a venting feature on it, and when I filled up the other day, I forgot to turn it out of the vent mode. Do you guys know how quick or often that little system checks and rechecks? I am thinking its most likely 1 drive cycle. I may just erase it with my scanner and be done with it!

I think it does it once per drive cycle because if you left your gas door open for example it catches it every time. Just erase it..is that a B code or what?

its not a code until its left off long enough, chrysler did this because people would pay 89$ for a diagnosis when it was just a gas cap.....so my system gets a fault ALL the time, says gascap and my gascap is on, just isnt tight enough, or your seal on ur gascap is broken or too hard. Another idea your local dealer sells a gascap that will fit your ignition key.....imo
