Default Blacking out taillights

Hey guys,

Anyone ever black out their tail lights? I was thinking about doing it to mine wasn't sure which methods you used. If you have any pics and how you did them please let me know.

Thanks

I had smoke covers...

then I got some professionally smoke tinted ones off ebay:

dumped them for some others I painted and kept the brake and reverse parts unpainted....would not pass inspection and I was afraid I would get pulled over.....I just wet sanded the areas I wanted to paint with 1500 grit sandpaper and then taped off the areas I did not want to paint...took all of about an hour...

I highly recommend not painting the reverse or brakes completely.

I get criticized by every one I know because I park clear in the back nine, with either of my vehicles. I got my wife to start doing the same... and you know what? The one, single, solitary time.... that she decided she was in too much of a hurry to park back in our usual spot.. some douche let their cart smack into the rear passenger quarter panel, leaving a huge dent.

That event just solidified my reasoning.

ratchet tie downs, left small dents in nice lines along wheel wells, and some one has left a dent in my passenger door, right in the line in the door where it like sticks out, puzzled on why someone would open their door soo freakin hard

also bought the truck with a small dent in the rear quarter panel, knocked quite a bit off the price so oooo well

and the gf is way too scared to drive norma jean
