Ok, new TPS didn't cure it. Cam position sensor didn't cure it. What's the next thing up the food chain, crankshaft position sensor? Then the trans? I'm not a transmission guy, don't know the pecking order of its sensors and solenoids. Anybody care to chime in?

Unhappy

I am still looking for a transmission guy that knows these animals. I talked with the trans guy at my only dealership, he had never heard of our problems. Seems there are many who have had or have our similar problem and no one has any answers from qualified DODGE management. We must keep trying!!
Stay in touch..

Need a trans guy who will take the ride and feel it, not make a guess based on description. It's kinda tuff for us to diagnose without truck throwing us a code because of the way it feels. It doesn't have a definitive feel as to wether its an engine miss or trans thing. If it's the trans trying to shift like it can't make up it's mind, where do you start diagnosis at. Is it the converter going in and out of lock-up? I wouldn't know what that feels like, or even if it (lock-up) can be felt.

I went to my dealership today to discuss this problem more with the trans guy. I found out from the service writer that now the Chrysler 300 has the same problems we are discussing. I have another appointment next tues with trans tech at dealership. Maybe we will get somewhere with a solution....

Made my appt. My dealership is nuts. The trans guy said my problem was my tires. I have had bad tires make your vehicle feel like it has a miss in engine. Three trips to this dealership and three opinions, one tech did not feel problem, 2 said no codes have no idea problem, now its the tires. I live in MO. I am now working with a serv writer in Scottsdale Az, who understands problem over phone and says it is the trans, waiting further info, something about harmonic gears..He says the 3.7 had same problem but that was a computer problem as the 3.7 was underpower for the shifting. ??? stay tuned for updates.

LOL. I was gonna say... What? Yeah, I don't understand how those guys can always say, "No code, no problem". Must not take much to get a dealership job. Did they mention a diagnosis for the same problem the 300's are having?

After I was told this about "tires" I figured I am talking with idiots. No did not discuss the 300. Co incidently my vehicle has developed a whine, which I thought was trans, but the dlrship says is the ring and pinion. I have a ex=warranty so next tues we tear into this with the inspector from warranty co to approve the fix. I will be asking for the factory rep for this area to contact me or me him. Will update as I get more info
