Default 2008 radio removal

So I'm having no luck, can anyone direct me to ANY information on removing the stock radio from a 2008 quad cab Dakota?
I have no idea how to get the panel off.

If its the same as the 05-07, this should help.

If not, the process should be the same. There are screws holding it on the bottom and the rest of it pops out with a little prying.

The trim is different from the 05-07 trim, but it goes on/off the same way. Like jkeaton said, there are two screws on the bottom of the trim and under the A/C dials. After you've removed those, the rest pops off since it's held in by clips.

Crutchfield says I will have to remove the rear support bracket to make my new double din fit.
Suggestions on best way to accomplish this?

LOL..... remove the radio and look at it to see what you will need to do.

No idea. I replaced my stock radio with a UConnect. So, it dropped right in with the OEM brackets.

I'm sure it's just some bolts, though.

That link that dakotaff posted has a good write up on the steps needed.

Although, after bending the 2 pieces of steel back I still couldn't fit my double DIN stereo in. I ended up taking a hacksaw and cutting the entire top from the support bracket. Its a pretty solid bracket so its hard to manipulate if you need more room.

Yeah, I was worried it was going to require something like this. Guess I could use my cut off wheel in there.
