My truck keeps blowing coil#1

Lol whatever it is, I've been driving all day today getting up to 75 mph (after putting in a new coil) and it's running like a champ. So after months of not working and frustration, it was a damn wire.

I snipped it about 4 inches from the ECU and about 4 inches from the coil and just wired (piggy backed) a new thicker gauge wire (not much thicker, may one-two gauges up) and routed it up and over the engine back by the fire wall. (zip tied to some little hose that was already zip tied back there, I'm thinking it was the washer fluid hose.)

Okay so I got the test light, it just flickered really fast on every coil I tested, so I then checked continuity and it was there, so as a last ditch effort I snipped the drive wire on from the ecm and from the plug, spliced in a new wire, moved the coil from cylnder 4 over to 1 and the only coffee being now is for cylinder 4 because there is no coil there. So after all this time it appears to have simply been a bad wire. I have to get a new coil tomorrow probably order it tonight so more like Monday or Tuesday, but I'll update more after that.

Broken manifold studs, especially toward the rear of the engine, seem to be a periodic topic here.

dorman 03218 and fel-pro ES75109 is what rock auto is showing. It looks like it sold as "exhaust manifold hardware" :rolleyes
