So here's a little back story I bought this truck a few months back guybwanted 6k I ended up taking home for $2700 or something. I was aware of the missing cv axle shaft and it had a check engine light. I've since fixed the misfire and now she runs great. Except today I go crawl under her and much to my dismay see this broken dif mount I can't say for sure it was like this when I bought it or not. ( I saw the truck in the night and couldnt see much under it.. obviously that was a mistake) I've been daily driving this thing for several months now and don't intend to stop necessarily. So my question is can I simply unbolt the dif all the way to the transfer case and get rid of it, eventually do a s.a.s. or at worst replace the crappy i.f.s. but essentially just do away withbthe 4x4 until further notice?
Pretty clear that it has been ridden hard and put away wet. I would suggest that the broken mount and the "missing" (read thrashed) cv shaft happened at the same time. Get your build sheet to find your gear ratio and find a junker with the same front axle. Presto, back on the road, with a weekend's work.
Stub shafts need to stay in the hub/bearings. (outer cv joints.) That is what holds them together after all. Aside from that, I would just leave it all in place, worry about it when you have the correct parts.

So since the day I bought it, to now probably 7k-10k miles driven it hasn't had one thats one the first things I noticed
missing. 😵😬😬
The passenger side outer cv. heres a good picture you can totally see through the wheel center (where the cv stub shaft should be)😀 and I've been driving it everyday. Is my caliper the only thing holding that **** on?

The outer CV usually holds the bearing together. I would be doing something about that right quick, as losing a tire at any kind of speed is far too exciting for my tastes. Yours might be a better design, but, I wouldn't bet my life on it.
So I have a little separate dilemma that I think you'd be the guy to ask. So in short I bought an f/b throttle body online it was advertised as the 1-70mm with newer Idle air control valve. It showed up and is actually a 1-72mm and has the old style 2 screw iac provision. Is there anyway to make it work? Say wiring the 2 screw to my wiring. Only problem is the old style has 4 pin outs on the plug and mine has 2
any idea what I can do about that?
