Vally Hitch install
I bought and installed a valley class III hitch and 7 prong wiring adapter today, install took about an hour for the hitch and the wires. I didnt get the brakes or reverse lights wired but I am going to do that latter. Here are pic of the install.
Before
First I took the bumper off to make it easier.
This is the parts that I installed, first pic is of the hitch and brackets then the second is of the wiring harness.
Second, I put the first bracket into place.
Then I put the hitch itself into place and put the first bolt though the hole in the existing hitch. then put all the other bolts in and torque to 75ft pounds.
Then I wired the harness in and left the wires for the brakes and reverse lights to be delt with latter. This is what the finished product looked like
Came out looking good. Here are the specs of the valley hitch
Hope this helps anyone else if they install this style hitch. it was quick and easy to do with basic hand tools.

RE: Vally Hitch install
Now I'm confused - a while back I posted about that type of hitch, and a lot of people still considered it to be a bumper hitch, even though there's a huge crossbar directly underneath the bumper. But to me, with that add-on box type reciever, that looks like a full-blown class III hitch.
I know that the bumper hitch looks like it's actually in the bumper, but the ball actually mounts on that huge crossbar directly underneath. The rating goes from 2000lbs (as stated on the bumper) to 7500 lbs max? If that's the case, I'm going to install that thing just as you did, and avoid purchasing another full-blown hitch package.
