Default K&N

Have those that have installed a K&N CAI on their D Crew's seen any difference in HP or gas milage?

I almost did the CAI, but since our air boxes are pretty basic and it seems the cai lets hot engine air in near the fender, I just installed the K&N filter.
I dont really track mileage, (14ish) but the throttle seems to feel like it has just a little punch, moving more air...
I did exhaust too at same time, so could be the combo...

I installed a drop-in K&N in my V6. It feels like it improved throttle response, so that alone made it worth the small investment.

Spend your money on something worthwhile. (fog lights, ground effects, neon kit, better stereo....whatever)

Anything you do to your engine to improve fuel economy or horsepower is going to be a wasted attempt, as long as the OEM computer software is still there to adjust to the changes and compensate for them.

I got my K&N 63-1563 Air Charger High Flow Intake Kit (CAI) sitting in my garage that I purchased a few days ago. I will try to install it next week end and provide a report.

Cool

There are a lot of intake reviews here, do a search. None are very special using similar cone filters for similar results. No magic here. Below are a few.

I did the drop in on my Hemi. Kinda out of habit, been running drop ins since 1993, 12 different vehicles. Whether or not it's my imagination I don't know but I feel like it improves throttle response a bit and usually you can hear it a bit which is kinda cool. I did get 21 MPG on a recent 12 hour road trip with 5 passengers and luggage which I was really pleased with. Not sure if the drop in helped with that or not.

1st day with the K&N. I got a chance to open it up and could really feel a difference. Better throttle response and it has a little more growl. Gotta give it a thumbs up.
