So 2012's have been added to recall? Can I get my $1200 for new TIPM back then?

Yes, as long as you keep your receipts etc and then have the recall done. The same thing happened to us and one the recall was done, Chrysler reimbursed us.

Well the TIPM was replaced several months ago so why have this recall done if there isnt an issue anymore? Its fine with me if I get my cash, just seems odd.

I don't know what your recall involves, with mine it adding an additional relay for the fuel pump. Even though we had a new TIPM, the additional relay had to be done before the check was issued.

I don't believe he is having the recall work actually re-performed. I had to bypass my own TIPM when my Durango died in my garage and the local dealer just had to verify that the work was done and acceptable and enter the VIN into the Chrysler system so that it no longer reports as an open recall for the vehicle.

Hi Chris,

You don't need to redo anything. You will get the official letter of the recall and on it it tells u exactly what to do to submit for reimbursement if you already had the service done. I have a 2011 and I did mine before the recall. I was reimbursed in about 4 was after submitting the copy of receipt, ect

I'm taking my 2012 Durango in for this tomorrow. My VIN isn't listed in the recall though, but it's doing all these things. Hasn't conked out while driving yet, but it died 4 times on me this morning, including a remote start.

Turns out my guilty culprit was a vapor leak and faulty ESIM valve (or sensor?) that was stuck to open. Not a costly fix, but I've got an extended warranty so I saved $250! Hopefully it's all fixed and I'll have no more deaths post start.

Thank you for the update! I wonder how often those parts fail?
