For those of you in CA, LT headers aren't CARB approved here. Unless you can find some with the CARB stamp on them.

I've been running BBK shortys for three years now. They are 14 gauge steel, chrome plated, very heavy construction. The passenger side bolted right up to the factory exhaust, the driver side I had to move the cat out of the way to get room to install them. I run magnaflow spun hi flo cats with two pipes leading into a dido magnaflow muffler with 21/2 inch tailpipes. Shortys make great torque and you will enjoy them on your 4X4. Good luck and hopefully you will have enough room on both sides

I've never installed long tubes, but the shortys are pretty simple. Jack up the truck, remove the front tires, and take the inner fenders out, and the stock logs are looking right at you. Disconnect the cats from the logs, then unbolt the logs and move them out. Reverse the process for the install. Some of the bolts are a little hard to get to, but hand tools and some patience, will let you do the job. I'd allow 5-6 hours for the first time you do a set. On mine the passenger bolted right up to the cats with no problem, the drivers side had a little less room, and I had to cut the cat out of the way to install the header on that side, with luck, maybe yours will have just enough room to get both sides bolted up without having to gut the converter off on the drivers side. I used BBK shortys on my truck. Good luck

My 06 hemi with shorty BBK's, a K-N CAI true duals, an electric fan and a diablosport tuner made 300 rwhp, and 400 ft lbs at the rear wheels. Headers whether they be long tube or shorties, will give you a noticeable feel as to either more power or more torque. Shorties are more for torque, where long tubes are better for top end power. Either kind is much preferable to the stock log manifolds

Voted for "Headman" even though its Hedman
Magnaflow and Dynomax both make x pipe mifflers, but of course they are dual in and dual out mufflers. You will never find a single in dual out muffler with an x pipe for obvious reasons

^^ Thanks. That post you quoted was in regards to a member wanting to get any info on FM having a series of X type mufflers which i could not locate on thier website.
I run the Dynomax Ultra Flo X 3" DO/DO myself.

Hedman LT's >> no cats >> dual 3" piping to Dynomax Ultra Flo X >> dumped after axle.

Nice set-up. I've run the magnaflow x muffler, how is the noise level on the dynomax ultra-flow. Do you get much resonance in the interior?

There is resonance with the Dynomax under load but i removed my carpet for ST vinyl floor so that my be a contribution.

I had been use to more quieter setups (prior was Y pipe to 3" si/so Dynomax Superturbo w/ full carpet interior) so this current setup is a LOT louder than i thought it was. In addition the 3400 stall does not help in keeping the exhaust tone down when leaving from idle.

How are you liking your Mag' X setup?

I have a 3" Magnaflow X sitting in the garage that i am going to have put in just for a change if it will help in lowering the noise level. Think the case length is a little longer but have to check the specs again.
