I was reading a thread about tranny swaps over on the hemitruckclub site, and there is a way to swap some pieces and convert an 03 to 04 config...

I really want to be able to use the tuner with the headers.

I had a question about the A/F mixture. If the Superchips leans out the mix, and putting LT's on leans it out even more, would using 93 octane help at all? I'm just wondering, since the performance tune is for 91 octane, but most gas stations around here don't have 91, so I use 93 octane.

Joe,

03 expanded support is lacking across the board. It's just not Superchips. The PCM/TCM are different and more difficult to deal with in that application. I know that's not what you want to read, but it's true.

I can't be sure Superchips will go back to 03. Just keep asking for additional 03 support. It doesn't hurt.

Link to DAQ2 PDF for the Flashpaq, but basically same concept.

Make sure you update to Advance Data Aquisition, so you can have all the logging goodies.

I got my SC3865 yesterday and got it installed. I had a question regarding the Tow Tune. Do you have to turn on the Tow/Haul Mode while your using it?

What tune are you guys using most and what advanced settings are you using? I'd like to get the most out of my programmer, but I don't really know my way around the settings and don't know what and what not to mess with. Thanks.

Nope, unless you need to for actual towing.

I use 91.

The settings you'll most probably use in advance tuning are, REV LIMIT, SPEED LIMIT, WOT SHIFTS 1-2, 2-3 and MDS DISABLE. I would disable MDS. Nice gains in power disabling MDS here. The truck just drives better without it. You can incrementally change your other settings until you find your sweet spot.
