I am keeping my fingers crossed that the process for our trucks will go faster since they worked through all the bugs when doing the 07-08 programming.

Do I need to tune back to stock when replacing the EGR or is it ok to leave whatever tune I have installed?

alrighty guys, I am one of the SC beta testers for the 3865.

Here is my feedback!

Alright - here's the run down from my little jaunt.
- NO TORQUE MANAGEMENT! Got rid of it all! Feedback - it takes a bit of time to move everything down to 0%, as you have to set TM at WOT, and at each shift. (gotta love OPTIONS!)
- Want to hold that 1-2 shift? Don't want it bouncing to 2 at 13mph when you are at 11% throttle? CHANGE IT! Mine is at 17.76 mph now.

We kinda already knew all of that though (THANKS SIL!)

Here's some other "Ah ha's"
- don't be a retard like me...........on my last tune I set the 2-3 shift at WOT to go at like 75. WTF was I thinking? Hard to get to that 6,050 RPM when it shifts at 75. (more like 5,200 then.........d'oh!) I'll have to change that.
- don't be a dummy and think that you will get to 60 without a shift. derrr.........I set WOT 1-2 @ 65 mph. ok, the truck is not built for that Jeremy. It shifts at 5,950 just like I told it to.

And for the all important question. Will my 4x4 that couldn't chirp the tires before be able to burn 'em a bit now? HELL YEAH! Oh.........and thats without holding the brake. Hold the brake a bit and it will light 'em up until you let off!

Sluggishness from a dead stop? Whats that?

I kicked the truck sideways tonight. NEVER did that before!

Oh, and the best thing.........I am rolling along at 35mph and I nailed it - it dropped gears lightning fast and took the fark off. The shifts are AMAZING with no TM, just freaking amazing.

Superchips, you have a customer for life!

BTW.............this is 0212353 from all the other forums. Couldn't use that name here!

I have an 05 4x4 RAM with 4.7l...3.55 gear ratio and 285/75/17 tires...aftermarket 3" exaust.
I am not happy the way truck shifts to RPMs and lacks throtle response as well.

QUESTION:
I am looking at the 3865 Superchip to bring some life to this rig. Will I notice any improvement given my current setup (tires/ratio)?
Thanks a bunch!

You will.

A tuner is one of the best performance investments you'll make. It really wakes up a ride.

After all of the time we have spent talking about these new features, I am surprised that there hasn't been more of a response about the release of the beta files
