I finally broke down and did it. Been looking at all the brands of programmers out there, and when I saw a site today with 25% off and free overnight shipping I just couldn't say no.

Ordered a Cortex for my 08 Ram Hemi and can't wait.

One question. is there any way to do the downloads on a Mac? Or will I need to pickup a low cost windows laptop?

You will have to add a virt. Windows OS to your Mac and then you will be able to use the internet update.

I am looking into a sc next month, however, on the sc forum it says the 08 rams with a manual aren't supported; is this true?

Unfortunately that info is correct. There are enough differences between the 4.7L manual and automatic PCM's that require us to physically test a vehicle into our shop to validate the tuning before we feel confident it is safe for mass consumption.

Sadly, we have not had any success tracking down one of these elusive manual 4.7L trucks here in Florida.

If you would be interested in letting us borrow your vehicle for testing at our facilities we would be more than happy to provide you with a free product for the help.
