To me, it's ALL about transmission firmness, torque management and adjusted shift points, where the Superchips has it all over the Diablo.

And yes, I've run both tuners...

Hammer is pretty dead on here provided your downloading the diablo tune and are not tweaking it. The tunes that come per-installed are OK but need lots of tweaking in order to really feel the differences in shifting firmness and acceleration. But even then your not going to gain the results of new heads and cam. Don't get me wrong when stating this you will notice a big difference if you tweak the tunes in any of the options 89, 91, or 93. I favor the 93 but the difficulty of finding 93 gasoline now forced me to 91.

I run the Trinity and IMO it is well worth it IF you want to custom tune and be able to read more PIDs.

I do want the ability to custom tune, a friend of mine is being forced to trade in his ram for a more family friendly ride, and he has a complete NX hemi fly by wire kit that's coming off before he does. To me the idea of running nitrous without adjusting timing doesn't sit well, and from what I've seen you can adjust timing with the trinity?

Through custom tuning, everything can be adjusted. However, YOU cannot do the custom tuning itself as it requires software. So you much find a shop that can do the custom tuning. Diablo has a list of providers on their site.

With that being said, you should check out Sean AKA Hemifever @ http://www.hemifevertuning.com/

Tell him I sent you

Oh yeah I know about Sean, Im on jeepforum as well and he does a lot of the tuning for the 5.9 limited grand Cherokee guys.

One more question, I was browsing the poll thread for tuners earlier and it seems that the transmission is not as adjustable with the Diablo as with the SC, are you happy with yours in that aspect? I guess it's a fair trade off for the custom tuning ability.

Thanks for the help so far

Diablo has TCM support for 05+. SC cannot do any custom tuning.

I just bought a DSP u7137 from someone and will have it next week. I have a 02 Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi with the 545 tranny. I dont run it at the track and usually dont run it too hard. But it does get drove hard sometimes since i am a firefighter and respond sometimes from home in my truck. I have read different posts on different forums about tuning and the tranny and all of them pretty much indicate issues with WOT and 2nd prime. I'm not looking to get every little thing out of this truck i can just want some extra power. I am new to tuning so i am not sure on all these adjustments that can be done. What do I need to do as far as tuning the tranny to keep from burning it up or ripping it out?
