But it does get drove hard sometimes since i am a firefighter and respond sometimes from home in my truck. I have read different posts on different forums about tuning and the tranny and all of them pretty much indicate issues with WOT and 2nd prime. I'm not looking to get every little thing out of this truck i can just want some extra power. I am new to tuning so i am not sure on all these adjustments that can be done. What do I need to do as far as tuning the tranny to keep from burning it up or ripping it out?

This quote sort of baffled me, since there was no hemi offered in a pick-up until 2003, and if you just got your dates wrong, I don't believe that much tranny tuning was offered from DSP til around 2006. I may be wrong about this, and I know I will be corrected if I am, which is what I like about this site. If you used a crate engine in your 2002, then you will have to know what year trans was installed behind it, plus have to have the correct year computer to go along with all of it. Not much help I know, but under the circumstances of no hemi in 2002, thats all I can tell you

2005 ram 5.7 When i tried to use my predator u7137 to adjust the shift points the transmission began slipping horribly in drive. Reverse was fine. After a few tries the computer threw a code and wouldnt even engage drive, to save the tranny i guess. After i cleared the codes and restored the original backup all was good again. The rest of the features seem to work fine.
I haven't tried again after the latest update
This happen to anyone else?

I have the same predator in my 06 hemi Ram and have never experienced the problems you have seen. I have been running it for 4 years with no issues at all. Sorry, you've had problems.

Hey all, I just got a predator for my 08 ram 2500 hemi. I installed the 87 performance tune with 89 octane and wow... It's impressive. I was however unsure on a few things. First off, when I go to change the shift points, it only has a menu for part throttle up-shifts. I am unable to adjust downshifts at all. Also, I was unsure about the rev limiter... I would like to set it higher but am unsure what the baseline is as it just starts at 0 and allows me to adjust +/- 600 rpm. Btw... I have from 9r13 installed.

On my '05 the rev limiter in drive was 5800 with shift points at 5600. The rev limiter in park or neutral was 4000.
I'm surprised you can't adjust your shift points. Even my '05 can although dodge may have changed the computer enough to prevent that in the '08's.

Did you notice any improvement in mpg? My 05 2500 has not shown any mpg improvement with the MPG Booster tune. Going to try the 87 octane performance tune next.

How is your mpg with the 93 tune and 87 gas?
