tranny adjustment is better with superchip the only reason i use dsp is for the custom tune due to my supercharger.
dsp has more pwr
sc has much better tranny tuneablity

Well, I can argue that fact.... it has more user based trans tuneability. The DSP has the option for a trans CMR/Custom tune file which will do much more than the SC will do, but you gotta know the people that can tune it.

thats true. which is why i went with an 05 pcm at one point. i had spoken with johan at diablo about cmr tuning the trans and they have a lot of options. its just not many guys are custom pcm and tcm tuned so you dont see a lot of feedback on the boards about it

I am hoping to get a Custom tune for the TCM here soon. I know of two guys doing them right now, just waiting for them to get a few more succesfull tunes under their belts before I go that rout

shop hemi claims dsp can turn the egr off. How?
it is presently routed into my supercharger induction.

i need help with two things on my dsp.

1. according to my manual i should be able to adjust trans settings in the quick adjust menu, however there is no trans options in quick adjust the only time i can adjust the trans settings is if i select the modified stock tune or if i run the factory backup tune and then hook the dsp back up and select performance then it will give me trans options. any other time i have no options when changine tunes to tune the tcm.

2. what does the throttle option do where you pick a percentage i dont understand exactly what it is for and how to properly tune it

Tried updateing my predator tonight. Downloaded 9r12 and tried to install it. getting the message "Can't downgrade u7137 from 9r09 to 9r12". Any ideas?

Checked out the diablo web page. Several people had asked the question about same message when going from 9r09 to 9r10...diablos answer was "why are you trying to downgrade?" So pretty useless. I am trying a good 10 hrs tomorrow and was hoping to try out the new MPG mode. Guess that will have to wait and i will go reinstall my previous tune.

You need to have it programmed into your custom tune file, there is no user option for turning it off.

1. - The trans options are NOT in the quick adjust menu, you need to reload your tune (performance tune) in order to get to the performance tcm tune, then there is a "modify" option after that, either at or before the load tune screen, that you can go in and adjust shift points. Depending on year, you are limited to what you can adjust. 03-04 have 0 trans tuning options, 05-06 have WOT, 1-2,2-3 partial upshifts and 3-2,2-1 partial down shifts, and 07+ only have the WOT and the 1-2,2-3, upshifts.

2. - The throttle option increases or decreases the throttle sensitivity. Basically it makes the gas pedal a little more touchy, and either decreases or increases the lag time from the time you hit the gas to the time it goes. If you have a ported throttle body, be carefull how sensitive you make it as it can become to touchy.

Are you in the right menu for uploading the tune?

Not sure what you mean? I am in the update tool screen on the downloader. The instructions don't say anything about putting the dp into any mode, just says plug it in, plug n the computer cable, and the ds automatically found the tool. I don't remember having to do anything different the last time I updated it... I click the update tool button and select the 09r12 file. It starts the process. The dp says do you wish to update tool (not a direct quote as it isn't in frog of me here at work), click continue on the dp, than it gives me the weird can not downgrade....
