Ok I think I understand, Im callin the company to see why it says its out of memory. I don't think it ever loaded anything in the trucks pcm because it never finished with the tune is complete message.

Mine did that to me twice, I just unplugged it and re-tuned it. It also did it during the update. Hasn't done it since though. You are running the latest CROM file (update) correct? I think that was the issue with mine but its been a while.

Feeling courageous, going to try the transmission tuning that truckin151 posted on page 22, I think I will start 100 or so rpm lower than his numbers, and go from there , its a year 2006 FYI w CAI and exhaust, i already richened up the 0-2400 by 2% and that made a huge difference in the odd rattles i was getting at ~1800 rpm

May want to watchout with tuning it lower than those numbers as it may get a bit choppy at times for upshifts and down shifts. I strongly reccomend leaving the 1-2 up/down shifts alone.

Even after the tune is loaded it takes a little while for the truck to "learn" or "adapt" to the tune.

When I get my custom tune for the cam, I have to run it for about 5oo miles between data logging so the truck has time to re-learn.
Thats my plan, Start with stock tune, drive it for a week then dyno it. Once I have some good dyno numbers, Ill goto the 87, run it for a week and dyno it. Ill work my way up like that. The only changes will probably be the muffler, possibly E-fan mod and possibly CAI, If I ever get around to actually doing them.

Anyone think $300 is too much for a custom tune? I just called B&G about some dyno time, and he said that with what I have (no internals mods, i.e. cams, etc.) that dyno time isn't worth my money. But he would look at my cal. from the DSP and write me a new custom tune. At $300/hr, I would have to agree that the dyno might be a little more than what my truck needs. Other than tuning out the fuel and spark, I'm just going to ask him to delete the EGR and rear O2's. I have high flow cats and I don't want the PCM freaking out because I have aftermarket cats. Any input? Does anyone here have someone that has written a tune for them?

I think that is way to much, especially if you have no mods. I beleive that Diablo will disable the rear cat for free upon request. And guys correct me if I am wrong, however, The EGR is not just a ECU system, There are mechanical systems involved that you cannot just turn off.
