hey guys my brother just got the dsp for his 2006 1500 5.7 qcsb and he cant figure out how to disable mds. does he have to be in a specific tune? hes in modified 87 and when he went to modify parameters it said it wasnt available with his engine/trans combo. is that normal?

 

He needs to know what CROM version he has (software version on the DSP) and IMO he needs to go to DSP site (LINK) and download u7137-9r06.crom if he has anything less than v.06

He will also need the DSDownloader_Installer_2.2.1.4.exe to upload the tuner.

He just got it and uploaded the latest software last night. I read on the diablo forums that the newest crom somehow got rid of trans controls and dsp is in the process of fixing it. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

yeah, v06 lost the trans controls but only on certain years that had the option to begin with. Did he had to do a DCX Calibration?

 

he said yes. when he first hooked up his tuner it said "this vehichle needs an update. so he hooked it up to his com and did whatever he had to do, hooked it up to his truck, it saved his stock tune and then he programmed the 87 tune but has no trans options or mds delete

 

You should be able to go back in under modify tune and be able to do the trans and MDS on the 06.

 

And if my chance you truely do not have the MDS options then you need to call DSP

 

It would not let me modify anything with vr06 so I went on the diablo site and got the 05 verison and everything works waiting on diablo for a fix
