I have never had any of the issues mentioned and I have had mine over 1.5 yrs. I have the 9r07a tune now. Just saw the 9r08 is out but I think it just adds tunes for the 4.7 guys/gals. I had one before on my old 01 F150 and never had any issues either.
I think if I ever had to buy another tuner it would be a Trinity just for the extra features, but I like and have no complaints with the DSP.

You have an identical truck to mine. Do you mind sharing your starting points? Any issues with not having partial down shifts? Still don't really understand what part shifts are...

I change my mind a lot but I have been thinking about a diesel truck for some time. I can just make more power and get better mpg at the same time

The 9r08 tune, gives you the ability to have a CMR tuner custom tune your trans for ALL gears, TM, Line pressure etc. It would be similar to what the SC guys have for their trans tuning however, it is not user based.

so get this......

I was having the cruise control issues (not working under 65mph) so...

Loaded the stock tune back into the truck.....still no cruise control.

Brought it to the dealership to have them look at it, and they told me it was the front left wheel speed sensor. They had to order the part, so I picked up my truck. The sensor has NOT been replaced yet, but my cruise works fine all the time now. I loaded the 91 tun back into the truck, and it is still working fine. I called the dealer and told them I don't want the part replaced yet, because its working fine. (I have a $100 deductable on my warranty) I assume the dealer "reset" or did something to the PCM. Is whatever they did different from diisconnecting the battery?

Is there a chance they just "flashed" the pcm or whatever and that fixed it, and the wheel speed sensor was just a cover up part so they could get their money from the warranty company? Hopefully this is the end of this, otherwise it will go back in for the sensor repalcement. ($150 from autozone, so I will let them do it for $100)

There, I am done, sorry it was so long.

Glad it is working now. They may have reflashed the pcm, but I would bet the sensor has a loose wire/connector and it is now in contact and working.

I had that issue... The speed sensor could have just been dirty or it was getting over heated due to your brakes needing to be replaced. Mine would go off after I cleared it for a few days then pop back up again. Took it down to get the brakes done and when I got it back the cruise worked perfectly, and has worked perfectly for probably 3yrs now.

I am currently running the 91 octane setting because it has been so dang hot. Mid 90's over a month straight. I haven't messed with the trans part throttle settings. I raised the WOT 1-2 shift point from 5600 to 5800. left 2-3 5600, advanced the TPS to 12% for better throttle response and turned off the MDS.
I think that's all I have done for now.
I think I might update to the latest crom today.

This was probably posted somewhere in these 18 pages but just for the record, the LP threshold adjustments are for the low pressure point at which the low tire pressure warning light comes on. Mine is set stock @28psi. It is not transmission line pressure!!
