anyway, the first on starts of @15
Are you sure it's 15 and not 1.5? I don't think the kn sensors should not let it get that high.

Ok I went out and hooked up everything again. No lab top so sorry I just recorded everything and wrote it down.
@Idle they read
KNK LT RETARD deg.---0
KNK ST RETARD deg ---0
KNK Sensor 1 Voltage---.1 (moves a little)
KNK Sensor 2 Voltage---.12-.13 (moves a little
Actual SPK Cyl 1-------15-18
Then I went and took it for a dirve and got on it since the LT and ST are at @0

KNK LT RETARD deg ---0 never showed any
KNK ST RETARD deg ---0 never showed any
KNK Sensor 1 Voltage--- .6
KNK Sensor 2 Voltage---.6
ACTUAL SPK CYL1 deg--- 36

Im guessing Im OK since the LT and the ST RET didnt move any...Is this correct? Thanks for your help.

Yep that is what you want to see. Dont want to see the ST KR go past 3*-4*

Was that just sitting at idle or was that driving?

Thanks guys. That great news. The first set of numbers was idling and the second was under a full throttle pass..Not that it happened but is it ok to see a 1* or 2* knock at shift as long as it goes away quick?

Its alright but 0 is what you want it to be obviously. If 1*-2* pops up and doesn't build it could be the knk sensor picking up some noise from something else. Nothing to really worry about til it hits the 3*-4* mark and is consistant in under the same circumstances and builds once it happens

Just a bit of Info to pass on, Diablo did make the Kn sensors less sensitive on Rev. 9R06crom up, so they get a lot less false Kn than they did stock.

That was really only for the 4th gens as they were having the most issues with the KR under part throttle on earlier revisions.

No, not only 4th Gens, I was in personal contact with Johan (sp) at Diablo, because after I downloaded the CROM I no longer showed any Kn, and I had always show 1-2 on Kn ST, I was afraid that I had lost that function on the new download. Johan informed me that they reduced the sensitivity of the Kn sensors, and ask if I was showing anything on the KNK Sensor Voltage, I was, so that satisfied him that it was still functioning.

I was thinking it was 6, but it may have been 4 or 5, revisions were coming pretty close together back then.
