IMO, stick with the 0-60 mph runs. Leave the 1/4 mile for the track. No need to let it hang out were something can go wrong.

The single thing that made my launches better and gave me less wheel spin was swapping to a wider tire. There was no way in hell the 275/55/20's would hold my truck to the ground, I would spin them constantly, swapping to the wider tire though has helped tremendously with wheel spin.

Bigger tires always make sense. I have 285/50-20's on it now and the way I'm going I doing a good job of wearing them out. lol....

Yeah, I'd move to a 305/50/20 to get a wider foot print. With your mods and that converter, the wider the tire at this point the better.

Why don't you guys just run a MT drag radial on the back all the time. I do on my mustang and its is more than okay in the rain and its not like they wear out super crazy as long as you keep them at a street pressure.

Late at night on a deserted highway is about the only option, but even then it is not always a safe bet. I agree with Red and say stick to the 0-60 times.

Have you tried Nitto or BFG. I know they should have what you want or close to it.

I'm pulling the bumper and losing the spare tire which is not going to help traction. maybe add some ballast and work on my technique. I saw on auto week where a new mustang was doing 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds. Now that is quick...
