Cool

Hey all I have a question about the 1500 rearends since this seems to be the main item wrong with the 1500 Rams.

Per my build sheet I got through the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center the build sheet site for our 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. it says we have a have a Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle, did they mean the LSD axle or is this another axle in the 1500's??

Is there a certain mileage indicator on WHEN to check the rear end before it goes??

Also what is the fix for the C-Clip problem, if that is the part breaking all the time??

Stink bug look ( Rear end to high they need to raise the frontend more to get the truck more level look ),
For me UNDER POWER 3.7 I know I should of gotten a HEMI next truck don't rub it in to deep my mistake Yea I knew better but I was after Better MPG Did not work,
Rear end they need to go back to the OLD type 9.25 diffs thattake a beating and last,
Piston slap at cold start up due to short skirt pistons but this is common in most newer cars and trucks,
COST TO MUCH To buy And resell value could be higher.

Then my wife tells me I always find something I don't like I to picky and stop crawing under the truck looking for flaws Ha Ha it just how I am old gear head looking for something to tinker with.
Most of these problems were corrected with the '09s. They improved the shocks, inproved the suspension overall including an over all changed geometry sway bar set-up. The wind noise and gas mileage was alterd as well by having a lower overall stance, front grill changes and different molded mirriors to deflect the wind.(on full size rams these changes were made on)

I would have to say CRAPPY seats is one, th eleather on teh steering wheel being very cheap, th epaint freaking scratches way to easy( i have a '93 jeep YJ tht i abuse in the trails and it doesnt get phased by branches but i flip out when i hear a branch hit my Ram). I think the LSD will be one uof my next upgrades to a Detroit Tru-trac. Wind noise is an issue with all the windows up at bout 85 mph lol. The location of the oil filter on the hemi sucks.. But other then that i love my dodge Ram!!

Corporate 9.25LD = Light Duty.
Anti-spin (LS) is an option.

I do not have LSD, so that is not an issue. My two complaints are the cheap steering components. I so far have escaped problems with the rack, but have replaced the hose. Just this week, I had to replace the P/S cooler, rusted through. The parts manager told me it was a good seller and that four years in the northeast was good. Better judgment tells me not to repeat my response. I wash out any accumulated road salt immediately. The other issue imo is the high cost of scheduled maintenance that far exceeds the competition.

the goodyear tires are just scary, really, why would you put such **** tires on a powerful truck. also the highway noise is very loud and the steering system is crap, at least on my rig. but otherwise I love my 04.
