Default accelerator stuck

I was coming up my driveway today at about 30mph when I went to slow down and park my truck the gas pedal stuck 3/4 of the way to the floor. I tried to brake, with no luck, and nailed my boat. Has anyone ever had a problem like this before?

Oh dang man, Sorry about your truck and boat...The only time my accelerator ever stuck is when my floor mat got ahold of it...But any ways, you might want to check your accelerator cable and make sure its not binding around anything or too dirty to move, if thats the case, take some WD40 and blow it all away.

Do we still have accelerator cables? I thought our trucks were drive-by-wire now. I think there's a sensor down by the pedal that's connected back to the computer. I'd check the floor mats.

My dad is a dodge rep, I'll ask him if he has ever heard of anything like that...Do you think you could contact your dealer and see what they have to say? I didn't even think about electronic accelerator...I'm used to working on older engines. Haha, But i'll ask around and see

the pedal moved. I got my foot under it and pulled it back up. It would not stop speeding up. I have no clue how fast I was going when I hit my boat. The truck shut off on impact. It started right back up and idled normal, no reving

Not totally drive-by-wire. From what I've read here and elsewhere, there is still a cable between the pedal and the engine room.
