Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
The biggest gains in fuel economy, unfortunatley, come from a decrease in engine rpm. I drove across state (220 miles) with a brand new Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi and got 20.5 mpg at 60 mph on cruise. With a daily commute of 30 miles one-way that would be an extra 5 minutes of your time, but think of the gas and money savings!
made a 344.5 mile round trip this last weekend, used 18.5 gals of gas, thats 18.6 mpg... 31,000 miles on ODO, HEMI, 20's, single cab short bed, going 70-75 mph without the air conditioning on(didnt need it finally).
But I also agree, if you can manage to go 60-65 mph you will get better mileage, I figure that I could get upwards, if not over 20 mpg by doing so. But the issue here in Texas is that if you dare to go that slow on the freeway, your in jeopardy of getting your *** run over or off the road by the speeding semi's. So its a trade off, go with the flow or get run over...

2004 QC Laramie 5.7 hemi, magnaflow exhaust. Computer on truck says 14.1 mpg. just put in a jet performance stage 1 chip and have a k&N FIPK CAI on the way. We'll see if it gets better.
2005 Hemi 4x4 Reg. Cab automatic. Completly Stock with 3000 miles. 17.5 mpg on the highway and 15 around town and country. How to get more... I learned from reading previous posts.
I have an '03 1500 Quad Cab S/B, 20's, tonneua cover, and 113K miles. After it turned 75K I put a K&N Cold Air Intake set up. After it turned 100K, I put on a set of S/S Magnaflow duals and re-programed it with a Hypertech for 87 octane. I regularly get 18.5 on the highway (long trips) and average 15 mpg on combo driving. Oh, yeah, I run synthetic end to end in it. I don't know if it makes a difference but it hasn't even hiccuped yet.
1500, Reg Cab, 4spd Auto, 3.7 V6, Poweraid TB spacer, Airaid filter system. 20mpg Hwy, 16mpg City, 11mpg towing small trailer.
Love the truck works great for all my needs...
