I have a 2003 dodge quadcab when i first got the truck i got as good as 19mpg. But at around 5000miles the computer went out they put a new computer in it now the best i can get is about 16.5mpg and dodge say's there nothing wrong
2006 Ram 1500 Quad Hemi 4x4 20" wheels and 3:92 gears. 1st tank 16.5 mpg the old way. Whats this I hear about breakin lasting till 4k miles on the computer. Any truth????
Last tank, in a 3.7L v6, LIGHTLY DRIVEN... 13mpg... How? I only got 13 mpg in a v6 3.7L... oh, yes, it's a 2006 1500. I don't haul ***, most of my miles, if not all, are HWY. I cruise between 60 and 70 mph. I have 4900 miles on my babe now. So, from the info read in past pots, i should be getting better mpg now? I dont think so! I am very unhappy with the gas mileage, but happy with the truck. Any suggestions on saving gas? I got the power wire. I am working on finding an exhaust and cold air intake too.
Sometimes if you drive too slow, your car will get worse MPG. For instance, if I granny drove my 4X4, I'd get 18 MPG. If I lightly, but got to cruising speed relatively quick, then I'd get 20. If I romped on it, I'd get 14. So, too slow is sometimes not the way to go, and you get everyone behind you mad.
$100 a tank! How much is your gas per gallon - $5??
$3.66-3.86 gallon. Now it's down to the mid 3's from the last spike in prices. I drive a 4 cylinder car now, and let me tell you, it doesn't get a heck of a lot better gas mileage, 21.2 MPG. Stupid "economy" cars, I want my truck back. The truck at least carried it's own weight and then some.
