Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
Just did a run from Fairfield Ca to Reno Nd. Up the hill I got 16.01 MPG calculated. Down the hill I got 20.1MPG. Both directions I had the cruise control set for 69MPH. I am running a stock 03 HEMI with 20" /3.92 and a drop in TrueFlow filter.

90% city driving. When i first picked it up i tried to keep the RPM's under 2000 because i was told that the truck is a pig on gas and i wanted to see how well i do on the mileage. Next tank i drove it hard to see the difference. And third tank i drove normal. Not much difference maybe 20kms per tank from driving hard to under 2000 rpms. Dunno... i cant believe the guy with the SRT-10 is getting better fuel economy. Something is wrong and every mechanic that i spoke with says that if the check engine light is not on its all good. I am thinking about buying the snap-on diagnostic reader and going into business my self. Just kidding. By the way i am totally uneducated when it comes to cars, so it could be something very simple that someone with an ounce of knowledge would have spotted right away. Again, any suggestions are welcome. I did notice today that i need an alignment i doubt that would cause a loss of about 4-5 mpg.

Thats those certified ASE mechanics for you. I dont know what the hell they are taught, but one thing is for sure, they are nothing without the car's computer. I am sorry if anyone here is the exception, but the rest that I have met are a bunch of dumbasses that dont know any more than you do.
'02 QC Sport, 4x4,57K miles, 20" rims 3.92 rear end, stock. I drive 3 miles each way to work and can't seem to get more than10.2 MPG averagein town. I was able to average 18.6 MPG on a highway trip yesterday, these numbers are from the EVIC. I am a fairly conservative driver with the price of gas at $3/gal. I run 89 or 93 octane. Although the gas mileage is somewhat dismal, I still love my truck and would not replace it for anything....(Except maybe for a a new megacab!)
Just to make it clear. Is everyone putting down their best instant mpg's or the overall computer calculated average over time? Because when i punch it and then coast on the highway my instant mpg's can hit 20 mpg's at best before i have to touch the gas again.
