Question Bed Liner

Has anyone used that Herculiner roll on stuff?

I want a bedliner (spray or roll) before I have the 5th wheel hitch installed.

I'm all about DIY when the product is quality.

Herculiner is a cheap DIY. I spray bedliners for a living and i cant begin tell you how many Herculiners i've had to scrape off and re-spray with our spray on bedliner. The thing is Herculiner can be a good bedliner if done right. Its all in the prep job. Sanding and cleaning the surface are the top most important things. Also any moisture present while applying the liner will bite you in the butt sooner or later.

So clean, sand, clean again, dry then apply...

What does spray in cost. I know the gallon of Herculiner is $90 (if one gallon isn't enough then I'd pay $300 for the spray).

we charge 400 for an under the rail and 450 over the rail. 1 gallon may not be enough. We spray around 3.5 gallons for an under the rail. I usually spray it 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick

Math:

3.5 = 4gallons at $90 = $360.00

Over rail is what I want, that's $450 so would save $90 for my time....without a warranty of any kind...

I don't think Herculiner is the way to go.

Awesome, thanks for the info.

id pay, like i did, for a name brand, and get the warranty. could be a major issue if you happen to have to do it again. being only a difference of 90 bucks, i say get it professional. not sure bout the herculiner, but you can get pro spray pretty close to a perfect match for nothing, atleast where i live,lol.

Herculiner is good stuff for the right application as long as you have the patience. I've covered the front and back bumpers, the grill, and tool box on my truck with it. Key is in the prep work as stated.

Having said that, I've got a professionally sprayed bed liner. That's just too big of a work area that takes too much abuse and is too easy to screw up.
