Default Straits vs Muffler MPG

Okay well guys, sorry to say but I just changed my exhaust tone completely...I had the most beast sounding exhaust on my truck, and got compliments almost every day. Not like a ridiculously loud or annoying tone, just a deep almost musclecar sound. Straits on a 4.7 sound way different than a Hemi...deeper, I dunno why

Anyway, I got tired of hearing the drone and went to a Magnaflow SI/DO dumped behind the muffler. Also put a magnaflow y on there. Anyway, it is VERY quiet, no drone and SUPER deep throated in a non gay way. VERY quiet though. So I just got through my first tank and guess what? I lost almost 1 MPG though, highway mostly. I reset my PCM and all of that (didnt know if I needed to) so just wanted to clear that up. But my low end has a little pickup for sure though, Im guessing my straits were TOO free flowing and hurt me down low but helped at highway speeds, mainly what I travel.

Just wanted to have an open thread for people searching...no pics, if yall need videos ill try but its not too different and you know how exhaust sounds through a phone/camera

i had straights on my 4.7 when i first got it and it sounded wicked, i would still have them if it didnt crack and pop (annoying), when i went to the cb extreme like u said i felt a lil more boost due to the free flowing exhaust before hand.... as for mpg i think i might have gained a little bit but then again that might be because i was a lead foot when i had the straights

I love straights on a 4.7. I havent ever heard one pop or crackle out of it. (maybe thats cause mine is from a cut out and not out the tips) When my cut out is closed it comes out the magnaflow si/do just like yours matt, and compared to straights it sounds like a prius
