Question 2006 ram qc, cb radio install/mount question?

hey guys, i just got a ram since i totaled my dakota about a month ago... but anyways i am installing a cobra 29 series cb radio in my truck and i was wondering if anyone had ideas of where to mount it? i looked in forums/threads and pictures from google with no luck. I would like to not drills holes to mount on top of my dash or the top of the cab. oh and i have the split folding seats so no mounting on center console :/

I velcro'd mine to the dash, used quick connects so it's easy to take in and out. Works great doesn't ever move, cost $4 and no holes drilled

Im fixin to mount mine in the "lower console" under the seat...

but the only other places i could think of would be on the cupholders, or ontop of the dash...me and my buddy have thought of mounting places in these trucks for a long time we decided these trucks weren't meant for cb's haha

Ive seen specific mounts that go on the floor to elevate and tilt the unit to where you need it to be.

To the OP, did you find a solution to mounting your CB? I have a '05 Ram and am stumped on where I want to mount as well. I don't want to drill, really don't care to have the cables that visible if using velcro to hold on top of the dash. The best photo I have seen so far had it kinda in the drivers floorboard with the top against the hump where the 4wd shifter is and speakerside facing the side of your right leg. I keep hoping to come across a photo of a better setup but no luck so far.

lawrence in my 05 I ended up mounting it to the cup holders with some self tapping screws, i couldn't find any other way that i really liked. The cup holder still functions as it should (folds down all the way, and in the up position no problem) and im runnin a cobra 29 classic so its a decent size radio.
