Default HELLA 500's Installed

Well i needed some more light since i tinted my head lights so gave these a shot we'll see how they are tonight when it gets dark.If anyone wants to do this it's real easy and pretty cheap too.($70.00)

Looks good. Tough to beat the old Hella behind the grill trick...

Yep, I agree with Hammer. Especially if you have two sets. Now all you have to do is put the 100watt bulbs in them and your set. I had one set with 100's and one with 55watters and you could totally see the difference. I now run all 4 with 100 watt bulbs and it lights up the road like day time. If you decide to up the bulb wattage be sure to use heavier wire.

And you can add HIDs in those too cant you?

yes they take a standard H3 bulb....but you do know to take those covers off right????

Did u make ur own brackets or can u buy mounts I think I'm going to do the same thing to my truck

Hella 500s are $52 and Hella 500FFs are $62 at my local WalMart...

First off Mounts- Well you could make mounts I suppose, but drilling a hole in the from cross member under the grill works great, that's what I did. Besides if you make a mount it better be stiff enough to prevent the light from bouncing. Just drill through the front cross beam your better off.

Secondly the difference between the 500s and 500ff is- the style of lens. I prefer the 500ff as it is a more direct beam where as the 500s is more scattered from the different facets in the glass lens.
