Default OTIS to EVIC for 07 RAM

This may be old news by now, but I just finished this upgrade, and it works perfectly, incl compass and temp. Lots of additional options and info. $50 and about 20 minutes of work. If anybody is interested, I'll provide details and pix.

I'm outta town until the weekend, will put something together then.

Just to set expectations, I already had the base OTIS overhead console, without Homelink. So, I will NOT be showing how to install an overhead console if you don't already have one. There are other threads for that topic.

My project started because I wanted to add Homelink. Why? 'cuz I'm a gadget goon, and the base overhead begs for more buttons in the center. But after seeing some articles on the EVIC, I had to have that one. I read about this upgrade for earlier RAMs, but I couldn't find much for late 3rd gen. The key, of course, is to get on the right bus.

OTIS = Overhead Travel Information System
EVIC = Electronic Vehicle Information Center
