Exclamation i need horsepower gains! im not satisfied!

i have a 2003 dodge ram HEMI 5.7
i have a good bit of engine mods done and its fast but not fast enough.
worked and welded heads, 260 comp cam, frequency matched valves, cold air intake, and a bully dog power pup.

its fast, but i want it faster. WHAT DO I DO! dont have the money for a turbo so whats out there thats affordable?

gimme any advice that yall think i should do to make this truck haul a$$! im not really worried about top end, i want it to be the quickest hemi from 0-90 on the street!

what should i do? gimme advice on what gears i should run, what else i should do to the motor, HELP!

im looking into headers also, but i dont know what to get! also should i upgrade to a 268 cam?

4.56 gears would be a good start. then maybe a better torque converter.

can you explain how 4:56 would benefit me? how are they better than stock? and what would be the plus of having those gears over stock ones.

you have done a lot of engine work to not know what gears would do for you. lol

Do you know what gears you have stock? 3.92 or 3.53 (i think)? what size tires do you have? 4.56 will help you alot either way on your 0-60. Heck, if you are 2wd and only care about your low end you could even go 4.88!

you could get a better stall, headers and a free-er exhaust. Those are closer to the cheap end but from where you are out it gets pretty expensive

hahaa yeaa im pretty unfamiliar with gearing, never really thought about it untill recently. and yea im in a 2wd! its got a 2-4 drop with 20 inch rims and hotrod black paint job, haa its almost a lowered version of your truck, mine is all black also. but i like the sound of 4.88! lol sounds like it will get the truck movin, whats the advantage and disadvantage?

Well first of all, the 20s are killing your speed.

Secondly, the advantages are that when the motor spins, the tires spin quicker than with lower gears. Your city mileage, takeoff, and 0-60 will be faster. You will run higher RPMs at cruising speeds and will lose MPGs at highway speeds. It doesnt make more HP, just makes it feel like more.

Kinda how your tranny has so much response and increase in speed in 1st gear but in OD it is sluggish.

see if you can answer this for me too, i got a 3000 stall, and it will haul a$$ takin off but once it leaves 2nd gear(to the floor) them rpm will stay wayyy up and i feel like im not getting much pull? kinda bothers me. if im doin 40 and put it to the floor it will make alot of noise but dosent do much, its goin to the tranny shop in the mornin, i feel like the tranny isnt keeping up? any ideas?

Another thing that is killing you is that 03 PCM. There isnt much of anything more you can do that will get you more without changing that PCM out. You cant get tuning for a blower or a bigger cam with that 03.

Im going to be selling my 04 PCM and harness and cam here soon if you are interested.
