Default camshaft questions

ok so i just bought my first dodge 2 weeks ago. i have an 2004 dodge 1500 hemi QC 2wd. i put new plugs and wires on it and i put a K&N filter in it and i put a glasspack muffler on it. its fast but not as fast as i want it. i have been reading around and researching but have not found the answer i am looking for about camshafts for my engine. i want to put the biggest camshaft in my engine without having to do major modifications (heads, pistons, crankshaft, bigger injectors, ect....) does anyone know exactly what i can put in without having to make major mods?

Well as a lot of people on here will tell you, you will need supporting mods for a camshaft upgrade.
They're not major upgrades but, you will need a set of longtubes/shorties (dependant on emissions test where you live) a good CAI and a programmer to alow you to tune to get the best from your selected camshaft.
As for the cam itself, a 268 would be a good choice and I'm sure others will chime in with others.
The good things is, your not an 03 like me so your tuning options are significantly improved.
Hope this helpf?
Al.

You might be able to pull off a 268 since you have an 04 for tuning, but gears would go a long way to helping your goal.

Ok so just headers and a tuner? Doesnt sound all that bad. Any recommendations on a website to look for a camshaft and a tuner? And will i need to do any work on my heads for a bigger camshaft?

With a QC, I would go 260, not 268.

Don't think that cam would be good in your truck.

The Charger sounds nice in the video however it is an srt-8. I dont know too much about Dodges though. -( I've always been a Chevy guy... shhhh) lol anyways i looked up the stage 1 cam and it said that no modifications are needed however with the 2nd stage cam, you will need a tuner and all sorts of other stuff.
