I researched the hell out of this before I bought my long tubes. The Dynatechs give the best gains, hands down, BUT are well over $1000.

You can buy about three sets of Pacesetters for what the Dynatechs cost and they aren't very far behind in performance.

I bought them but had a local coating shop do the ceramic coat on them, a LOT thicker than any factory coating and only added about $100 to the over-all cost of buying coated from Pacesetter.

Get the ceramic coat, their Jet-Hot coating isn't bad. The painted ones won't last three years (less if you live in a salt state). Stainless ain't bad as far as lasting, but the ceramic coat really makes a huge difference with keeping engine bay temps down...

I bought the Pacesetters, wasn't enough difference on the dyno between the two to justify three times the cost.

As far as the length, the longer the tubes, the better the scavenging, the more gains. Although the longer the tubes, the higher the HP & Torque curves go up in the RPM band, so shorties will feel like they make more torque down low (<1500 RPM), but in fact the longer tubes have more over-all torque gains.

Installation is a little harder with the long tubes, since the length of the tubes and collectors will require omitting the cats or relocating them. But nothing really difficult.

I'd go long tubes, no question. The gains are considerable when compared to shorties. There are other mods you can do for torque down low. Unless you are in an inspection state, where Long Tubes won't pass..

Pacesettres on mine, found them on craigslist for $200~ already coated and ready to go. So deals can be found out there. Check your state laws though for emission testing, if they do an inspection or you live in a CARB state you'll fail.
