He was using spacers. I forget how big they were, but if I had to guess, 1-1.25".

I don't know about the 4x4s, but I don't believe the 4x2s are hub-centric.

not a fan of spacers anyways but back to this, what is the biggest/widest tire I can go with then, if I get a 2", is it the 295/65/20? I also dont want to put much trans strain on it and I do lots of highway driving with about 5-6k towing, but I would definitely want the 2" front spacer

I see you're 4x4, so you should look into the 2" leveling struts from Bilstein. Will bring your front up enough to use the 35x12.5s and better shocks to boot. All you would need is the wheel spacers for stock rims.

so they eliminate the front springs? So its just that? Since I dont want to use spacers and I dont want the BULGE look on the tire, whats the size right under 35X12.50x20? Would it be 295/65/20?

No, they replace the existing struts. You won't touch the springs.
295/65R20 is 35x11.5
If you want a 12.5" tire, you look for exactly that, 35x12.5R20.
That will be the actual size as stated on the tire.
