any gain with these mods ?
What do i gain from these mods which i did on my 2006 ram hemi QC ?
1. K&N drop in filter
2. Magnaflow cat back with 24 inch muffler dual rear exit
3. Hemi hat replaced with 4 inch rubber hose connected to the factory box
4. Power wire (home made)
5. Airaid Spacer
6. Small filter breather instead of the pipe going to the air filter box
7. Y pipe instead of factory Y pipe
8. 180 Jet stat
Can i fit a 6.1 hemi cam on the 06 ram with mds ? i know it can be fitted on rams without mds

1. Better throttle response and reusable, other than that no.
2. I'd just get the muffler and have a shop put it on, a lot cheaper than a cat back kit if that is what you are referring to.
3. Removing the hemi hat/restriction in the intake should get you something and help throttle response.
4. Power wire is good if you don't have a programmer, if you have one I'd skip it.
5. Spacer is a waste of money.
6. Breather filter won't yield any performance increase, leave it in stock location and do the airaid MIT style intake.
7. Y-pipe is a good one b/c the factory one is a crunched up POS, so have that put on when you get your magnaflow muffler put on.
I'm pretty sure you can get a mds friendly cam, or if you don't want one get a programmer and turn off mds and get a more aggressive cam.

If you want the MDS get a cam that is designed for it, they do make them but they are no where near the performance as something that is not an mds cam. Not sure why you want to keep it on anyways as it reallly serves no purpose, most get better mpg with it turned off and the perofrmance is better with it off as well. When you get a tuner, try it for a while with the mds on and then drive it for a month or so with it off and see if you can tell a difference.
