Default dual exhaust before the r. rear tire

I don't get why a dual side exit kit runs 200.00 more then a full set of new pipes, it s there anywhere on the net that has this less then 500 bucks?

Nope. I paid $550shipped for mine. Was the cheapest I found, but this was 3.5yrs ago.
I have a magnaflow pass side dual exit in front of the rear tire.
I hate amazon, but here http://www.amazon.com/Magnaflow-1669.../dp/B000XQJZXO

Although the above 16698 is for 2006-2008. Not sure if it'll fit your 2005 as the Y-pipe is slightly different where the catback hooks up to.

I got mine for far less than $500, but most are going to tell you to stay away from Flowmaster..........

Well flowmaster is Aluminized steel, Not stainless. I know they do make some stainless mufflers, but their catbacks are rustable, thus the savings in cost. Looks good, but I'm in salt country and couldn't afford to go that route becasue i'd end p paying more in the long run.

I know all about salt/sandy roads. I'm in Wis. and this will be the first winter for this exhaust. The factory exhaust didn't rust away too bad in 6 years, so if the flowmaster lasts as long I'll be satisfied.

My first performance mod was a "dual" cat back. It was the Gibson Supertruck and got it for around $300-350 from a local store (before was enlighten by the forums). It was Alum' but got 5 happy years out of it. Loved it.

We had a former moderator here who had a local shop do his with custom mandrel bent tubes, a cherry bomb extreme muffler and a set of stainless Gibson tips right in front of the rear wheel. He supplied the muffler and tips and the shop charged him something like $275 for everything else. Sometimes it's actually cheaper to have a shop build the exhaust right on the truck, just the way you want it than it is to buy a "kit"...

I used hottexhaust.com for my cat back, with the discount codes there were some good savings.

My plan in the future is to buy a Magnaflow muffler, Y-pipe and tips and then find a good exhaust shop to do the rest
