Default What I did yesterday/random pics (Kinda pic heavy)

Imma show off what I did yesterday, and my truck a little bit.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Couple cans of undercoating, some rust killer and some body match paint, that I have yet to use on the cancer.

So this is what the frame looked like after I got done spraying it down with the rust killer

Now im just gonna blow this up with pics. haha

I might have to copy what you did after this winter. Your undercarriage looks good.

Thanks guys. I used about 4 cans, and that got me the whole frame, wheel wells, and the bottom of the cab. Im gonna grab a couple more cans just to hit up the low spots. In the pics you can still see some silver peaking though. I tackled the wheel well rust, and Im a little disappointed in my self... did a little bit of a hack job... tape lines lines....looks like poop.. so im not gonna show that pic, but i'll show the others I took though.

When I did the rear fender rust on my old truck, I ended up just painting the whole panel.

you have to paint the whole panel or you will get crappy tape lines...either that or at least fade out into the pannel and mask off like you are painting the whole panel. I've even done un-noticeable body repair with spray paint, but the whole panel MUST be exposed to even overspray (the basis of fading).

I suggest a minimum final sanding of 800 grit or better before paint or your sanding will show through.

I wet sanded it a little bit, like a half hour ago.. It's too windy and cold today to do much of any thing with it. But what I did wet sand, looked better. Imma just redo it when it's nice out again... whenever that is. You can see the lines in the bondo cause I used the 60 grit to break it down, but I didnt go over it enough with the uh....ummm... non 60 grit..(haha) to smooth it out.
