Default Does an extended 4WD shift lever exist?

I got to thinking today that I might like to have a much longer 4WD shift lever instead of haing to reach down near the floor.

A google search has turned up nothing for a Dodge that I can find.

Does anyone know if they exist?

Doubt it. It's not something I would see a company investing the money into. You'd probably have to make your own

Well I've been looking and searching using as many terms as possible and I have come up with absolutely nothing.

Apparently those of us who want or need an extended shifter just make our own.

wtf??

Of all the aftermarket items available, I find it hard to believe that no one makes an extended transfer case shifter.

I would say pop off the top cover, unbolt the ****, weld on a sleeve and weld in a bar to your liking.

I haven't thought about this since my 1984 Toyota. Its 4wd shift lever had a screw-on handle, and I bought extensions at the local truck stop. I have no idea whether the Dodge handle simply unscrews like the Toyota, but it's worth a look...

And that is about the general consensus anywhere that anyone has brought up such a topic.

maybe you could swap it, I know the first gen dodges have longer shift levers than the later trucks, could be a possibility...

Default RE: shift extension

I built a little custom dude at work one slow day. Its a metric rod coupler nut and about 4 inches of threaded rod (M10x1.5 I think), then the handle and orignal nut on top. The blue sleeve is an aluminum tube, one end has a small opening and a set collar to hold it in place. I paint matched it to my truck for the hell of it along with my MAG light on the A-pillar. Not too shabby.
