I have a really weird question....

Would it be possible for someone on here with a black ram to take a REALLY close up, clear, picture of their black paint job? Like, I wanna see how metallic it looks, or whatever, I have an idea, and I just wanna make sure I choose the right color.

I'm debating the metallic black(or whatever it's called) and the NightRunner black...

Please help? :-)

 

I have one, but I can't really say it looks at all metallic. It seems just black to me. It's an 03. You might want to specify what years (models) you are looking for if dcx made any paint chages along the way.

Sure, but I'll have to take it tomorrow. Kind of dark out now. I'll try and find a good spot too. Ya know, not too many swirlies or scratches. If you want a huge pic pm me your email. Otherwise I'll have to make it postable on the forum.

 

I think the 06/07 black is different from previous blacks. The 06 I saw that was black had a metallic flake in it, roughly equivalent to the flake you can see in the mineral grey metallic (if you've seen a ram that color). I think it looks really good.

 

Your best bet would be to visit a paint supply shop. I had a KZ1000 shot with a mettalic black from Chrysler back in the early 80's that had very heavy mettalic black, and it was a 2 part paint. I discovered it by going to a local paint supply shop. By doing that, you can get EXACTLY what you're looking for, and they can match it to the DCX paint type

 

I can tell you mine is not metallic.

Here one of mine it really is a pearl color you can see blue and green as well as metalic flakes.
