I have the 50 series SUV style Flowmaster on my 5.9 and it sounds killer, also on the Freeway she purs like a kitten till i wake her up. good luck on picking your muffler. But got to say nothing like a flowmaster on a Mopar.

I have a '06 MDS Hemi 1500. So that first muffler is actually a cat? I'm going to have to check into that. I didn't notice any wires on it though so is it without sensors? Can I drop the mufflers and thethird cat without engine codes? I want to run straight back from the cats to dual Flowmaster Super 44's with cutouts after the cats. Any advise on that? I also intend to have it dyno tuned for running with the cutouts open (but there is a chip that lets you select your stock tune at any time which I would prefer to run atleast at times as I intend for the performance program to run on full-time 8-cylinder mode). Side note I also intend to do under-driver pullys and intake this year which I will do before the programming.

hey everyone, im new to this site and it looks like it can really help me out with any problems i may have in the future.
but anyways, about 3-4 weeks ago i had exhaust put on my truck (07 ram quad cabw/ 5.7L hemi).
the exhaust shop was in my town and they were cheap...but good work, so i got them to put on dual super 40s.
they told me that they checked into it and that they could put duals from headers back so i let them do it.
the headers still had the cats on them but everything past the cats was gone and the pipes went straight back and exit'd right before the rear tires.
the sound was amazing, but come to find out...there was NO back pressure goin to the engine.
soo, i had to get that fixed.
second of all, the way they put it on...it almost put a hole through my gas tank!
just thought i would share that little life experience with everyone.

I've been looking all over for an exhaust for my 02 Q/C and have been getting dizzy with all the options. On the phone with flowmaster tech supportthis morning who told me that a true dual system will "confuse" the computer and cause all sorts of lights and void the warranty. Which systems are best HP/Sound for the 4.7??

I have an 04 Hemi, 2500 quad 4x4. I installed a heartthrob exhaust when I first baught it. Two years later the system was rusting out. I then baught a "Pace Setter" system that is cat-back, dual 31/2 inch out lets with chrome tips. I noticed an increase in acceleration in the mid to high range. Very immpressive.Very quiet at idle until you open it up...then it screams. Also, very quiet in the cab. Found a deal on E-Bay for about $200.

I HAVE A 2004 RAM QUAD CAB WITH THE HEMI AND I TRIED THE FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES 3" IN AND DUAL 2-1/2" OUT WITH TAILPIPES STRAIGHT OUT THE BACK. IT WAS WAY TOO LOUD AND RESONATED INSIDE THE TRUCK, SO I WENT TO THE NEW DYNOMAX X PIPE MUFFLER WITH DUAL 2-1/2" INLET AND OUTLET. I HAD THE LOCAL MUFFLER SHOP CUT OFF THE Y PIPE AND PUT DUALS UP TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. IT SOUNDS GREAT, ISN'T TOO LOUD, AND DOES NOT RESONATE IN THE TRUCK AT ALL. YOU CAN HAVE A CONVERSATION ON THE FREEWAY WITH NO PROBLEMS.
