Hello first post to the sight. I have a 07 ram hemi and was wondering if anyone has removed the stock exhaust and put in a splitter and ran pipes out the back with out any muffler’s. Just wondering this is how I ran my last truck.

I have a flow master 40 series on my 06 ram QC hemi and sounds good. i took all the resonantors off and have the single in and dual outs and ran to the bumper with 2 3 innch rolled tips. thought about changing the muffler to the Aero Turbine 3030. sounds killer but since i have the MDS ill still would run it all the way to the rear just to keep from having the cabin noise that my old regular cab had when i dumped it. well thats my 2 cents Joe

I had a 2005 with S/I D/O 2.5 Flowmaster. My second 2005 had SI D/O 2.5 Magnaflow. Wife always wanted it quiet. So I removed the magnaflow, went back to stock and installed a DMH Electric Cutout.

I just purchased my 2007 and am considering putting on another electric cutout. This keeps my wife happy and I open the cutout when I am alone in the truck.

Has anyone put on an electric cutout on the MDS system? When I has it on my 2005 I thought it was the best of both worlds. Stock quiet, or jet plane loud!

I am sure this has been asked...but 7 pages worth of reading... hard to find the answer.... I want a Good exhaust system that when the widows rolled up.... is Near stock quiet. I HATE drone in the cab. I'm looking for a good sounding exhause with minimal interior feedback noise. I also like the new Dynomax X muffler. I'm wondering if anyone has used it and how loud it is in the cab...

http://www.dynomax.com/Products/ufx.asp

Also i've not seen any kits with this muffler either and was wondering if anyone knows where one can be located.

also any suggestions on alternatives for good sounding outside.. and NO sound inside exhaust....

Just got my Flowmaster 40 series installed with a single in dual out setup with both pipes exiting behind the aft, right wheel. I left the forward resonator in but had them remove the rear one. It sounds BEAUTIFUL!!!

My first visit to this site. Like to say something about the exhaust systems. Went to a Proffesional independant flow bench tester that test for the goverment and various other outfits.
He has a list of about fourty something brands of mufflers. Some we've all heard of and some not so name brands. In scales of 200 C.F.M's to 600 C.F.M's Flowmasters"all series" never got past the high200's very poor flow rates. Big name Hum! Magnaflows were in 360's for true duals. not to bad. Hooker various models 400's class. Decent performance with a price to match. Borla's X class was top dog, In the 646 C.F.M's. So was the price. I settled for the Magna's. They seem to work fine, No crappy noise. In short You get what you pay for. Do your research don't just put on a part because it sounds good or your buddy has one.

What the resonators look like and where would they be at on the trk. Also I was thinking about putting on a cutout on the truck. I have a 4.7. Anyone have a cutout already and if so how does it sound? I dont know if I want to put on a cutout or buy the new 44 series muffler considering I already have a flowmaster exhaust. Thanks for any opinions.
