Just had my exhaust done. Will post a vid when I get the time to do one.
I had my exhaust guy remove the main (Read:HUGE!!) muffler and the resonator and weld in 3" piping to match the rest of teh exhaust.
Thats it.![Big Grin](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Headers->Cats->Y Pipe->3" Piping all the way to the stock outlet.
Its loud, and awesome! [8D]

I just got a Magnaflow installed this week with a single in & dual out w/ echo tips and I love the way it sounds. The guys at the muffler shop said a Flowmaster would have been significantly louder and I don't think I could have handled anything louder.
I did want to note that the Magnaflow sounds great with the MDS... I actually think it sounds getter with the MDS on then in V8 mode. It has this nice deep burble, which more or less continues through 2,500 rpm, and then after 4,000 rpm it just starts to wail. What I personally like about the Magnaflow is that it doesn't seem to alter the sound of the truck when stock, just amplify's the sound, so it doesn't sound ridiculous.

I don't know if the "true dual" would be any better performance wise than just a si/do, but I could be wrong. How are you going to go true dual back? Are you planning on getting rid of the CAT? The MDS drone isn't bad with my magnaflow. You can barely notice the difference. I think it sounds better in the 4 cyl. mode.

I would like to get a banks it seems like the best price for an all stainless system. Also knowing their quality it sound like a no brainer. Just want to here what people really think after they had it on for a couple of months an if their opinions have changed since they put it on.

had to sell the borla exhaust and headers that i just bought cause my tranny went out.....i had alreadydrilled holes in the muffler on the stock exhaust and cut the resonator off completely right where it turns down by the rear axel.... dont drill more then 9 holes and treat the surface area so it doesnt rust....gives it an extreme glass pack sound at around 1500 rpms and at high rpms not to much difference you just hear more air flow.....i like it at least until I buy another borla exhaust system and headers.....

Hey quick question... I read pretty much the whole thread and coudnt find the exact answer.. I have an 03 1500 quad cab 4x4 with the hemi and I'm gonne get a flowmaster 40 series muffler and I just need to know which offset I need for the in/out. Both center or both offset? In offset out center? Visa versa? I'm gonna have it exit in front of the right rear tire if that makes a difference. Any help would be great.
